At 6.5% ABV, Masham Ale is the strongest of all Theakston beers. It's not a regular brew, but an occasional and very popular visitor to the Theakston portfolio – reserved as a special ale for high days and holidays. This deceptively smooth, full bodied, strong ale is tawny in colour and exhibits a beautifully rich balanced character of malt, fruit and Fuggle hops.

A nice coppery colour when drawn from the tap and allowed to settle. A decent head that is rather creamy and lasts as well as great lacing throughout. Most other characteristics are slightly above average.
