It should be indisputable evidence when a smoking gun is right in front of You. Maybe You can even smell the burning, toasty nose, see the easily recognizable head and taste the gun powdery finish. This is not the case.

    Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7

Strong aroma has a robust core of roast malt and hints of coffee, toffee and molasses - and maybe a snip of licorice. It comes out of the bottle black - not sable, not coffee brown, but black as Darth Vader’s cape, with a thick and rather persistent light wheat head. Lip-smacking flavor is rather sweet, but not cloying, having notes of roast malt, mocha, toffee and licorice. Texture is not as thick as the best stouts, but it passes muster though fizz seems a wee bit lacking. Overall, if not a great imperial stout, still worthy of at least a try.
