Myrtle has a pleasant acidity from a Lactobacillus fermentation. Lemony Meridian hops grown in Silverton, OR enhance the citrus character of our house Lactobacillus strains and the fruity ester profile of our house farmhouse yeast.

Finished up our Commons stash last night and this one did not disappoint. Lemony tartness and an underlying rustic yeast strain make this both a summer quencher and appealing sour. Good stuff.

On tap, JUST TAPPED when we were at The Commons! (Thanks Travis!) Orangey golden pour with a very tight white head, nice lacing. Nice tart aroma, some floral and citrus zest, light funky and yeasts, lemons. Zesty and tart flavor, floral and Belgian yeasts, some fruits - bananas and blood oranges - then very slight Juicy Fruit gum, but mostly tart and zesty. Very nice beer, Super glad to be able to enjoy it with good friends Phishpond and Pfoxyjohn. Thank you Travis for having me at your work for an entire evening. The perks were: The Commons' beers all evening, great conversations with your clientele, the Pretzel Truck, the goats, your gracious owners and brewer, Portland's quirky quaintness. EPIC night indeed.
