Not sure how they smoked this, but I've had others WAY smokier than this. It's actually a nice, if mellow, stout, especially for the strength, but the name left us wanting more. I DID only have a 4 oz sample, but I have a 750 at home and will revisit one o these days... Two bottles later...one of the rare ocassions not only where the bottle is better, but significantly better. Still super smooth and easy at 9.5%, but the smoke is more obvious and complex in the bottle than that first time on tap. Very nice.
