Before red curtains framed the Georgia Theatre stage, they hung alongside silver screen legends: Bogart’s trademark scar, Better Davis’ eyes. The Elite Theatre hummed with a reel-to-reel movie projector, and lines for the box office looped the block for the hottest ticket in town. By 1935, the building’s signature red-lettered marquee advertised double-feature nickelodeons and spaghetti westerns. Like any good sequel, the Georgia Theatre kept what was great about the Elite: star-studded evenings o’ entertainment. Double feature stars as the second in Terrapin’s Georgia Theatre Sessions, a Belgian-style Dubbel Ale as smooth as the silver screen.

very malty and sweet, almost to a fault. thick, full bodied. very bready in the nose and flavor with extra candi sweetness, alcohol, and a hint of tang as well. pretty good, but a little overdone.

Aroma is strong and malty with a sour, yeasty overtone. It pours a beautiful clear coppery orange-brown with a fairly thick and fluffy, if not too persistent, off-white head. Sharp, malty flavor has tones of caramel and apple and just a touch of honey sweetness. Texture is fairly edgy and has just a little fizz to it.
