From Central City, in a bomber. I'm using this as a palate cleanser after the not very good Hoptimus Prime mess. CLear pour, dark copper, with a creamy tan head. Aroma has malt and alcohol. Flavour was basic barleywine, caramel, hop, and alcohol. Nice mouithfeel. Strong finish. All nice.

pretty much everything you'd expect from a prototype american barleywine, and nothing you don't. huge caramel malts and a healthy dose of hops. big bodied. a little bit of a palate wrecker. pretty good, but also does little to stand out from a loaded field.
