A classic Belgian-style ale. Deep golden in color, medium to full-bodied, nice, fruity, and complex, with a slightly dry and spicy finish.

Jan. 2010 - Pour was straw yellow, pale. The aroma was fruity with a mild funk. The flavor was just too darned sweet and syrupy. My first beer while out on the West Coast...serves me right for not choosing the IPA.

I was told that the Belgian Tripel was one of the hoppier selections; very disappointed in that, and I fear that affected my review. Poured a beautiful amber/red color and had aromas of banana and honey. Hops were definitely there, the floral variety, but faint and just there to try and balance out some of the malt which was rich, "belgiany", and sweet. A decent taste but I dont know if I was getting an unhopped pint or if I had a retarded bartender.
