The Zwarte Zjef, or Winter Zjef, is a proper Stout. For the occasion of the birth of little Zjef, the brewery made 3 beers, a White Zjef, a Brown Zjef and a Black Zjef (= zwarte Zjef). The parents preferred the Zwarte Zjef the most. And ever since, it’s the most popular beer in our gamma! During the winter months, we have a winter edition of Zwarte Zjef available, named Winter Zjef.
