Springboard is a Floridian Blonde Ale, offered from spring through fall to provide a thirst quenching, but flavorful light ale for the warmer months here in Florida. The initial soft malty sweetness gives way to a slight bread character from Munich and biscuit malts. The finish is clean and dry with a burst of hop flavor. The flavor can be enhanced with the addition of fresh fruits or spices; our favorite treatment is to crush a Kafir lime leaf - often used as a seasoning in Thai cooking - in the glass as it is poured. "Springboards" - aka diving boards - are popular at the many aquifer fed springs in North Florida - take a refreshing plunge!
