The flagship beer is pale in colour with a subtle hint of grapefruit and lemon in the aroma. The wonderful hop bitterness is complemented by a balanced malt flavour. The beer has a long finish, which is moderately dry.

Cask 1/3 pint, gravity dispense, at the 16th Twickenham Beer & Cider Festival, Golden colour, white head. Moderate malty aroma, some toffee, a little fruit. The flavour is nice enough, but not very special - probably got the Gold award in the CBoB 2016 for not being offensive in any way.

Clear dark orange with off-White foam head. Aroma is not to strong, Some grapefruit indeed. Taste is very smooth, nice bitter. Went well with sandwich in pub. (Reading 201311)

Cask@GBBF2008. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is wood, spices, some malts and nectar. Flavour is wood, sourness and some mild yeastyness. Boring and quite unpleasantly mixed things in this.

At "The Hog in The Pound" in LOndon. A clear amber body with a creamy white head. Minimal aroma. Flavour was nicely bitter, with a sour undertone. Mild finish; mouthfeel a touch on the thin side.
