This version of Indulgeousness was our first and is inspired by the Nanaimo Bar. (Pictured on the front of the can if that's not clear). Now, despite its name, the origin of a Nanaimo bar is "shrouded in mystery" (City of Nanaimo, 2022). We're not detectives, but it seems pretty damn obvious to us. Don't overthink it. What we do know is that it's got 3 layers: coconut-graham crust, thick custard, and silky chocolate. So that's what we put in this beer; this year we used a new Toasted Coconut from Sri Lanka and find the coconut character is more pronounced, we used the same Tahitian Vanilla, milk sugar and Ecuadorian Cacao Nibs processed by Woodblock Chocolate in Portland as last year. It's an enormous, sweet, imperial stout.
