The week of August 10 we'll be kicking off our new series of limited release beers called the Unchained Series. The series is an opportunity for our brewers to show off their skills and creativity. Each beer in the series will be presented by an individual brewer-the style is their choice and they are running the show! Perfectly paired for warm summer days, the first beer to be featured is a Kölsch, presented by Brewer Mike "the Miz" Miziorko. Brewed in the traditional German style, our Kölsch will be light, crisp, and refreshing. These beers will only be around for a short time, so be sure to drink it up now!

This beer pours a very weak orange tinged gold, very transparent, with a very thing white head. The aroma is grainy malt, some hoppy tones, but not a lot. The flavour is certainly refreshing with a nice balance between the hops and malt.

Pours a light yellow with very little white head. Aroma of light hops, maybe some pears and a little bready. Taste is surprisingly clean and crisp. Although it starts out a bit sweet, this beer finishes with a light grassy bitterness. Superb take on the style and a great summer beer.
