Thanks entirely to you and fan demand, it has gone from being a one-time offering to a yearly tradition too special to skip. This is a great beer! Super black with a dark brown head. Lots of lacing. There is so much complexity to this beer. Very spicy with cinnamon, vanilla, coffee, and just a bit of pepper. Reminds me of the Holiday Ale Fest in Portland. The alcohol is warming. Full bodied. I will have to try to get some more of these and age one. Get it if you can!

Pours an almost black colour with very little cola highlights. Big creamy mocha-coloured head, very long retention and some nice creamy lacing. Plum aromas with the roasted malts. After breathing a bit, some beautiful notes from the spices come out: cinnamon, vanilla, chilies. Not too heavy in the mouth with a decent dry hoppy finish. Alcohol well-hidden. Chocolate flavours, coffee, roasted malts and the peppers in the finish just to give it a nice warmth. All nicely blended, so not too rich with a good balance between everything going on. Goes down quite beautifully.

The beer pours a solid dark brown, almost black with a very generous brown bubbly head. The aroma is dominated by roasted coffee and dark chocolate but there are hints of nutmeg present. The mouthfeel is full bodied, creamy, with average carbonation. The bottle says the beer is brewed with cocoa, coffee, peppers, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg and while the peppers, vanilla, and cinnamon are lost in the aroma, they can all be detected in the flavour. The peppers provide a perfect amount of heat, for me anyway, to make this the best beer I've tried in a long time.
