Sampled in Maine this summer. Had a nice pour with a thin head. Appearance is dark amber brown. A nice summer ale as the after taste is light and easy on the pallet. Worth a try, but hard to find.

Came across a six-pack (in cans) of this while on a quick business trip to Bath ME. I've generally had good luck with the Stone Coast beers in the past, and figured for the price, it'd be a woth-while purchase to stock my Holiday Inn mini-fridge with. I'm glad to say that this didn't disappoint. It didn't knock my socks off, but it didn't disappoint me, either.

Didn't look all that appealing -- kinda dull and lifeless, in fact. The same can be said for the aroma (yes, even when I let it warm up well past standard cellar temps).

But it's the flavor and the mouthfeel that this beer comes into it's own. Refreshing and easily quaffable, but with enough character (esp. in the hop profile) to make it worth your while to not neccesarily chug down. I would have liked to have seen (tasted) a bit more complexity in the malt-bill, or perhaps some grainier/wheaty-like notes, which I found to be rather appealing in some of the other Mainer Summer beers I sampled at The Great Lost Bear later that week.

But overall, this isn't an awesome beer by any means, but for it's intended "lawnmower-ish" purpose, it'll work....
