CLEVERLY TWISTED WITH TANGERINE & KAFFIR LIME LEAF When it comes to our beers and the ingredients we use, we give a wit. So rather than spinning just the same fruit wheel of the classic orange peel, we punched up our wit with the dynamic duo of tangerine and kaffir lime leaf. The fruit-forward aromatics and flavors are perfectly balanced, so you don’t have to bother adding a slice (or leaf) to the rim of your glass. Even with this lack of unnecessary garnish, you won’t find an absence of intense fruit. In fact, each dryly refreshing, citrusy sip of this coriander-spiced, tangerine-infused, Mandarina Bavaria-hopped creation will satisfy even the most hardcore fan.

Rated July 2016. 12oz bottle pours with a slightly hazy straw watery gold body that supports a nice bright white head. The aroma offers up spicy clove, spicy floral hops and then a blend of wheat, banana and bubble gum. At the end of the draw, as it warms a bit, it gets all floral perfume counter flower essence. The taste is similar with a nice balanced attack of spicy hops and bitter spicy floral hops quickly running into banana, bubble gum, a pleasing wheat sensation and then firm levels of perfumy flowery hops. Pretty nice but it gets just too floral for my taste.

Pours clear straw yellow with a thick porcelain head. Aroma offers up citrus, yeasty and wheat notes. Flavor delivers the wheat and yeast character that the aroma promises, but the citrus notes fade; a bit of woody hops peeps through. Mouthfeel features so-so body and fizz. Not impressive, but will take the edge off a sweltering day - so necessary in this time of global warming.

12 oz bottle. Pours very hazy orange yellow with a big rocky white head that retains well and leaves a little lacing.
The aroma is bready malts with musty Belgian yeast and some citrus and lime.
The flavor is cracker malts with lots of musty earthiness and some citrus fruit and lime. It has an odd plasticky bitter finish. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall, I really didn't care for the way the flavors worked.
