Bigger, stronger, and badder than ever. This Belgian-style strong golden ale is still fruity and complex (like our regulars), but more closely models the classic tripel style.

On tap at Stewarts, 3/26. The brewer told me this just came on tap today and was uber-fresh. It would be interesting to come back near the end of the run, as I notice that Stewarts Belgian releases tend to be a bit sharp when first tapped, this one no exception. Pour was clear gold color, minimal head and no lacing. The aroma was predominantly spicey pepper flavor. The flavor on this one was mostly fruity - pear and apple-type flavors with a spicey finish. The alcohol was very noticeable and this was a bit sharp. Mouthfeel was thin. Overall, I wasn’t thrilled with this, but it was okay.
