I picked this up at the Kroger in Salem, VA. What a FANTASTIC stout! It had at LEAST a 4-finger head. It was roasted coffee and hints of chocolate. A very nice beer from a VERY good VA brewery. Support local beer!

This beer is almost black in color. I tasted more anise than licorice. You can definitely pick up on the bourbon aroma and taste. This is one dark beer that takes me out of my comfort zone because it is a bit more hoppy than I prefer, but I enjoyed all the flavors together. Really neat label, too and Virginia proud!
