Hop Head Red is a medium bodied classic red ale. The bitterness and floral aroma are derived from whole flower Amarillo and Summit hops. So if you like hops you must give this one a try.

I cast this under Irish Ale because I just didn't know where to stick a "red ale." It probably won't be moved to where it belongs with the way things are going around here. I won't be too hard on this because the brewery's growlers are clear glass and it skunked a bit. I am told that it wasn't like that when it was fresh on tap! Much of the rich floral aroma still came through under the skunk. The look of this beer was damn near perfect...deep chesnut color with a pale tan head. After seeing how many beers this brewery makes, I will have to make it to Salt Lake City someday. I can tell this was a great beer; I want to try the others.
