Well played, Square One, well played. Hoppy and fruity aroma with a touch of smoky/roasty notes. Dark brown with fleeting eggshell foam. Nice hoppy flavor, richly malty, but a bit too sweet for me, seems under attenuated. A good brew.

Stopped in at the brewpub for a pint. Was offered a sample taste before having a full pint. The bartender explained that for the one year anniversary, this special brew was made with a combination of all the malts and hops they have used over the year. At first I thought it would be a muddled mess, but after a few sips I was found to be wrong. Dark mahogany color, clear liquid with a slightly off white head. Foam did shrink away to a thin ring. Lots of aroma, with some sweetness, and roasted smokiness. A well rounded and balanced beer. Full flavored with a mix of malts, sweet up front, toasted malts, and a nice hoppy bitter finish. A pleasant suprise.
