An early ale style, distinctive to its Cologne appellation, from the days before lager beers, appearing like a Pilsner, delicate, gently fruity, a slightly sweet malty biscuityness and a slight spice from whole leaf Czech Saaz hops. Swan Lake Kölsch celebrates the original site of William Steinberger's Victoria Brewing Company, Western Canada's first commercial brewery, established at Swan Lake in 1858.
