Aged in French Oak Barrels. Dark Sour Saison has been aged and for 9 months in French oak barrels. This complex French Farmhouse-style beer has a rich and dark malt profile as well as spicy characteristics from a French Saison yeast strain. This beers sour character is the result of a secondary fermentation in barrels with a special blend of wild yeast and bacteria.

Bomber from Central City. Cloudy mahogany pour under a sparse head. Nose immediately revealed sour notes. Close up, there was something else in the aroma, probably the wine barrel influence. Mouthfeel okay. Sour, fruity flavour, and I'm still not sure if I like this one. Heavy wine character at the finish.
