A super fantastic beer in every sense. Pours a beautiful clear amber colour with a nice small white head. Very resinous, lots of froth and lacing. Sticky. Icky. Dank smells. Fresh and generously hopped. Not bitter, but chewy and citrusy. Great bier all the way through!

Odd barleywine, high octane in all aspects that really seemed to distract from some promising items. Super sweet caramel nose with prunes, oats and alcohol. Dark amber pour, sparkling body along with a filmy head and stringy lacing. Fairly hot, malty and sweet. Strong malt flavors, mostly caramel and dank fruits. The alcohol burn is slightly overbearing.

booze, citrusy sweetness and bitter hops. not my favorite barleywine. not bad overall...barleywine is like pizza - even a bad one's good, but this is a below average barleywine.

An amber color with a small white head. The aroma contains some citrus, alcohol, cherries and caramel. The flavor is a bit on the boozy side with a marked sweetness. I get some raisins, cherries, citrus, caramel, and vanilla extract. The hop presence is there but it seems to be more in the sweet English mold. Overall a nice beer!

2006 release. A pretty clear amber with minimal head. Smells floral with grapefruit. Has a strong, yet even, blend of maltiness and grapefruit hops. The finish is extra clean with minimal aftertaste/residual bitterness. Under all that is the slight smell/taste and warmth of alcohol; at 10.2%, this is to be expected. I would think attempting to completely cover the alcohol with other "stuff" (probably more grapefruit) would not yield such a drinkable beer. I really like the evenness of this beer. The malts are right there on the tongue, not buried under a landslide of hops. A very yummy treat, indeed.

Clear amber, no head. Clean aroma of caramel, orange-peels, nuts, menthol and alcohol. medium to full flavour of caramel, grapefruit and sweet licorice. Mild grapefruit in the finish along with alcohol.

This to break in my new wide mouth glass...An orange color, a lingering head. Its smooth really in mouthfeel and flavor w/ fine bubbles. Body was a touch thin though....A Mint-ish pine aroma and sweet orange peel. The taste got very mellow with a light, 'easy' flavor in fact for B/W...Light sweet candy malt in nice balance with sappy hops....I cant fault this, its good beer, just not as interesting as some.

Bottle. Poured a cloudy purple-brown color with a light, white head. Strong aroma of malt, alcohol, caramel, and fruit (raisin). Flavor is very malty with a caramel/fruit kick to it. Bitter, red-wine like aftertaste. Thanks, Stoutlover72.

This barley Wine pours an orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is caramel, fruity and sweet. A medium bodied barley wine. Malts are caramel, fruity and sweet. Hops are floral and piney. Touch of apples and pears. Nice carbonation. Touch of alcohol bite. Kind of sweet, the tropical fruit flavors are not quite balanced by the citrusy hops. Nice barleywine, kind of unassuming. Etched beer bottle. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet with some alcohol bite.
