We at the Southern Tier Brewing Company understand that the conventional beer drinker doesn't like strong flavors in beer. However, we're not conventional people. That's why we're introducing the first of our new Blackwater Series: Imperial Stout, or just "IS". With an abv. of 10.5%, a dark demeanor and bitter finish, "IS" gives a new defintion to the word is. Not that this beer is in limited release on draft, but for the discriminating palate "IS" is a must have. People have asked us to describe IS. First of all, it's dark. Second of all its a bit bitter. You can't hold a candle to it...literally. It's too dark. It's extremely dark. How else do we describe IS? Well, "It is what it is!"
