A Red Sour Beer Aged in Oak Barrels With Montmorency Cherries This beer is inspired by the red sour ales traditionally brewed in the West Flanders region of Belgium. Aging the beer further on Montmorency sour cherries resulted in a delightful marriage of fruit, spice, tannin, and tartness. A perfect bedside storytelling sipper... Farm boy, fetch me that beer! As you wish!

Barely hazed, amber colour with a frothy light-beige head, average retention and a thin coat covering the brew. Big vinegar sour nose at first (balsamic, apple cider), then calming down a little and showing hints of cherries and vanilla from the oak. The taste has a building sourness, that does not go up in a crazy fashion, but just gets up slowly, lasting a long time. The Montmorency cherry notes are well-blended the whole way. A nicely brewed sour ale that represents well the Red Flanders style.
