Imperial Stouts are a thing of pure majesty. Dark, velvety, rich, luscious – majestic. We aged the Dark Knight in a Cognac barrel imparting the cognac flavor, oak and lending a faint smokiness in the background.

Like all other Dark Knight variants, pours rich coffee brown with a fine tan head. Smoky roast malt and coffee aroma has woody and cognac tones. Cognac-infused wood note comes forth more in the flavor, but does not drown out the roast malt, coffee and molasses tones that round out e villainously good flavor. (Ha ha - villainously good? Is that an oxymoron?) Good body and fizz finish this classy brew. Penguin would be happy!
