Brewed using imported English malts and hops, this medium-bodied, copper-colored beer is a great rendition of the popular English beer style. Our Best Bitter is a very drinkable yet flavorful ale, enjoyed by many of our Taproom visitors.

If there is beer in the US that needs to be packaged for consumption, this needs to be on the list. Currently only available at the brewery, this is well worth the trip. The color is red-tinged gold, clear, and capped with a 1” tight bubbly head that sticks around until dinner. The aroma is caramel, bread, light fruit notes, and yeast. Mouthfeel is thin to average. Flavor is well balanced with the sweet malt notes up front, and a mildly bitter finish. Just like the British expect it to be.

eh. not bad, but definitely not a standout at Sierra Nevada or for a bitter (gimme Goose Island, Alesmith, Deschutes, or Boonville there). bitter, yes. but the malts were boring and the body thin. maybe a little harsh, but it was at the back end of their beers.

I had this on tap at Hollingshead Deli in Orange, CA. Clear amber color with some up front maltiness and a very slight hoppy back end. A good session brew
