Deep burgundy brown; unfiltered, with a dense, creamy head. Complex, fruity, spicy aroma, featuring raisin, fig and banana with notes of clove and black pepper and a hint of freshly baked bread. Rich, warming dried fruit and spice flavours, minimal hop bitterness and a hint of malt sweetness. Long, balanced finish.

The beer poured a murky dark brown with a thin tan film for a head, although the film lasted and laced well. The aroma was nutty malt, dark fruit, some yeast, and roasted malt. The mouthfeel was medium to full bodied, with average carbonation. The flavour was well balanced between the sweet notes of the sugar and dark fruit and the bitterness of the roasted malt and the hops. Quite good.
