A bit paler than Session, owing to the colour of the organic pale ale malt being about half the colour of non-organic. we couldn't up the organic crystal too much for fear of sweetening the beer too much. Organic Admiral hops are used exclusively as well. The are a relatively new "dwarf" variety from the U.K. that gives very good aroma as well as usable bitterness.

Finally got around to reviewing this after putting it off and passing up other opportunities to so so....amazing what a few hours tap sucking at the Castle will do to your courage. So I tries one: Taps a flaccid hazed amber with a smallish cap. Light grainy-herbal aroma some citrus. Light palate, rather thin, some cereal tastesl, some citrus and herbs and a fast finish. I never really got into these light session ales and this is probably a good reason why...just too indistinct and characterless to get excited over.

Bottle: Poured a light beige color ale with a small foamy with good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of floral malt with some light hoppy bitterness is somewhat interesting. Taste is a mix between some floral malt with a light English hops bitter touch. Full body with some average carbonation. Not very complex overall but I thought this was easily drinkable and very refreshing. I wish more North American brewers would brew bitters and mild at less then 5% alcohol.
