The beer pours a very dark coca-cola colour with a thick creamy medium brown cap that lasts a few minutes before settling to a film. The aroma is roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, light anise notes and vanilla. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied, creamy, and average carbonation. Flavour is all roasted malt and very bitter coffee. No noticeable vanilla in the flavour, but more importantly, no noticeable alcohol flavour either.

Pours a black colour with a warm mocha-coloured creamy head, great retention leaving some nice creamy lacing. Big mix of coffee and sweet vanilla... rich, but nice. Some nice bitter coffee, freshly grounded with chocolate notes and blending vanilla. The mouthfeel finishes on a dry feel. This cuts the richness of the vanilla, and pushes nicely the hoppy bitterness and coffee notes. Well-brewed with well-hidden alcohol.
