Divine Reserve No. 15, DR5 redux, is a beautifully balanced, all malt imperial stout with nice roast, chocolate and hop notes working together. And for a beer that comes in it at just over 10% ABV it is surprisingly drinkable which is always what we strive for. This is a beer that can be enjoyed immediately, or if you have the patience, stored cold and enjoyed several years from now. DR5 came out in 2007 and is still incredible. The recipe was inspired by Mike Heniff's winning entry for the 2007 Big Batch Brew Bash homebrew competition. The recently released Bishop's Barrel No. 8 is the barrel aged version of DR15.

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 10 | Mouthfeel: 10 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 9
Pours opaque chocolate with a decent light tan head. Aroma presents molasses, roast malt, mocha, and subtle caramel tones with a hint of anchovy. Flavor features roast malt, caramel, molasses, mocha and anchovy-ish tones for a very tasty stout. Mouthfeel offers good body and peppy fizz. Divine!
