We learned of this word when visiting the Prague Castle. Defenestration means to literally throw something or someone out the window. The castle has a room where this activity occurred with unwanted politicians! Not such a bad idea. This beer is not any particular style, just something Vinnie has been working on for a while. It’s VERY dry, bitter, hoppy, and full-bodied.

Sampled on 6/26/2014 at the brewpub. This Belgian Ale pours a medium gold color from the tap. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is hoppy, fruity and sweet. A medium bodied Belgian Ale. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are grapefruity and citrusy, a touch herbal. Decent carbonation, lots of nice small bubbles. Hoppy and VERY DRY, and I mean VERT DRY. A little bit of tartness. This might be the driest beer I have had in a really long time. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is crisp and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter with a lot of dryness.

A rustic, floral lighter Belgian ale...pretty solid across the board, and definitely enjoyable as the weather warms. Little hint of the abv, slightly earthy finish, but it;s the florals and yeast that wins you over.

I had this beer as part of a 14 beer sampler at the Russian River Brew Pub on 14 July 2011. Apparently this is a "new" beer from Russian River. This beer was nice - it was a standard blonde ale with a hoppy backbone. This beer is essentially a Belgian IPA. It was GREAT and I would love to get a bottle of it.
