A dark amber colored beer with a big sudsy textured light beige colored head rising robustly above. There's great hang time on the head. A thick film and ringlet persist throughout each sip. Lots of malt and phenols in the nose. An interesting hopped bitterness balanced with the malty sweetness. Light-medium bodied with a resin slickness on the tongue.

A little lighter in body than some, but with a nice sturdy malt backbone and ample hopping and bitterness. Fairly basic as the BA version was, but balanced and tasty.
