The Biere de Garde (pronounced Beardy Guard) is the French cousin of the Belgian Saison. Sometimes lagered, sometimes amber, sometimes golden, always delicious. Our version is a reddish amber ale that finishes dry with an earthy spiciness. Ideally served at 50 - 55°F.

A surprise here, the bottle reads 'Amber Ale' but is a Biere de Garde well that explains it. Lots of malty flavors, roasted grain, and fruity like a Saison. Lots of the yeasty, scratchy Belgian flavors. Big and rich, makes for a great mouthful of flavor, but a bigger beer than you'd expect to encounter for a Bière de Garde. Starts out sweet and evolves into a yeasy bitterness that dries out on the tongue. A really flavorful beer that is worth seeking out.
