Purchased in Vermont in their mixed pack. Pours a clean dark amber colour, almost copper. Small head, beige with not much follow-up. Beautiful spices in the nose with the barley malt, fruitiness and hints of molasses. Fruity flavours with malt, light sweetness and decent bitter hop in the finish. Quite easy to drink. Surprised to find a barley wine in a taster pack. Glad though.

Even though the label says "Barley Wine Ale" I would be more inclined to call this beer a Strongish ale. Despite the name being a bit misleading I enjoyed the dry & bitter taste of this beer. Like many of their beers, this is an easy drinking beer with a decent aftertaste, though if you're looking for a real Barleywine you should look elsewhere.
