We combined our Imperial Porter with fresh Dark Michigan cherries, and then aged it for over three months in a Bourbon barrel inoculated with wild yeast. This is a bottle conditioned ale and can cellar for over 5 years. Enjoy!

Approachable sourness giving a lightly lip smacking enjoyment without a lot of puckering to follow. Creamy roast and vanilla with a dark fruitiness. Tart cherries and a bit nutty. Great mouthfeel and so good to sip on. Mottled brown body, foamy cap and decent lacing.

Shared with BeerPals PfoxyJohn, FoamDome and Sassy along with Sam and Q Dawg at the Hootenanny After Party Tasting. Brown pour with a decent tan head, light lacing. Light sour and tart cherry and berry aroma, a touch of the funk and yeasts, moderate Bourbon presence, some vanilla and light Port, light roasted malts and very light java - complex aromas - very nice! Rich flavors too: nice blend of cherries, Bourboned oaked vanilla, tart and funk, more light tart berries. Excellent tasty critter. Nice find. Should have bought more bottles to age. This one would age very nicely and gain some more funk. Still excellent - very glad to be able to share amongst good friends.
