Oaked Imperial Wit A most unusual combination of flavors that just plain works. The beer is aged in the fermenter over new American Oak spirals. Oak character combines with the traditional Witbier spiciness to produce subtle vanilla notes on the nose, followed by a dry finish.

interesting wit. heavier body than is normal but it works. not overly sweet but has a fruity sweetness to it that the light belgian yeast doesn't quite cut through. I'd love to have a non-oaked version to see what exactly the oak imparts. good brew.

22 oz bottle. Pours clear straw yellow with a small white head that quickly goes to a thin collar.

The aroma is bready malt, lots of spices (floral, corriander, and pepper) with some lemon zest.

The flavor is sweet bready malts, some tropical fruit and a lot of spice with a medium bitter finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with low carbonation.

Overall, interesting, but too over the top with spices and sweetness.
