This beer was sampled at the 12 Hour Belgian Beer Festival in Pizza Port Carlsbad and comes courtesy of CQuiroga. This beer pours a clear amber color with a thin white head which dissipated rather quickly and left little lacing on my glass. The aroma is heavy heavy butterscotch, some vanilla, caramel, malt, oak and wood. Did i mention butterscotch by chance? The aroma was sweet and sticky..very entrancing, its just a disappointment that the flavor didnt live up to the aroma. The flavor is medium bodied and mildly carbonated with heavy butterscotch yet again, yet all those other underlying sweetnesses just up and left without a trace. This beer just loses all of its sweetness, even most of the oak aging qualities are gone after you take that first sip. I dont know what happened with the finish here, but it was dry and just watery almost with a butterscotch flavor that lasted forever.

Pours with a deep amber body topped by a thin head with some lacing. The aroma is slightly sweet with bitter, peppery alcohol notes and some caramel. The flavor is sweet and malty with notes of toffee and a little alcohol. Full bodied and smooth.
