A Majestic Ale For A Momentous Occasion. This noble brew evolved from its common cousins, porter and stout, by necessity to endure the long voyage to the Russian royal court. Colossal additions of American hops are used to balance the robust malt character and infuse this ale with their distinctly citrus-like qualities. 15th Anniversary Ale can be consumed now or laid down for further enjoyment.     Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7

    Standard black body, the cap is thick and frothy and it leaves some pretty decent lace. Mouthfeel is full and thick with a nice carbonation bite upfront and a smooth finish. Aromas and flavors of dark fruit, but the most dominant feature is roasted malts, there is a slight hop bitterness, but not much of a hop presence, a bit of cardboard at the end. The one i am rating tonight has aged a few months, my first sample was a bit hot, but now it has mellowed a bit making it easier to drink. Overall a decent RIS.

    Tap @ Saucer .. pours a deep brown .. medium foam .. roast and tar mostly .. way to easy to drink, just wish i could get a few bottles.. . is the perfect candidate, as long as the viewer can deal with cheeriness that borders on insanity.
