Well its hard deciding if the draught was better than the bottle Charters beer on a boat always has a great ambiance and its sold bottle conditioned which helps I would not be put off either. the bitterness comes from the malts no hops in it at all its malty roasted a bitter of chocolate to I think great beer.

Cask conditioned at the Great British Beer Festival (GBBF) 2008. Black colour. Very nice roasty aroma, notes of coffee. The flavour is malty and roasty, with a light mouthfeel.

Cask@GBBF2007. Dark amber colour, beige mediumsized head. Aroma is caramel malts and some slight roasted hints. Flavour is roasted, caramellish and quite hoppy. Dry and quite pleasant.
