Originating in abbey breweries, trippels are brewed with nearly three times the malt as 'normal' beer. This ale is characterized by its deep golden color, medium body, subtle hop aroma and flavor, and a little warming sensation on the finish.

Mar. 2010 - Another solid offering at the Brewpub! The pour was much darker and redder than a standard trip...with a smallish head. Honestly, I didn’t take much note of the aroma (oh well). This was a solid, if unspectacular offering. It was a good balance of typical sweet fruity trippelness with a moderate level of bitternesss. Not a pronounced yeastiness, nor anythinhg else to make it exceptionally notable, but sometimes just making a good example of a good style absent of any flaws is more than enough. Well done.
