This stout is not for the weak. We used 13 gallons of Geauga county maple syrup to add a sweet flavor to the beer. The stout starts out with a strong roast flavor, but finishes with the sweetness of the local maple syrup. The flavor is so well balanced; it is difficult to tell that this stout comes in at a whopping 11.9% alcohol.
