Crisp and balanced, inspired by one of our founders’ family heritage. John Patek immigrated from Czechoslovakia to Shiner, TX in 1895. We chose to brew our first Czech Pils as an homage to the “old world”, the Pateks, South Texas, and Polka! We brewed with pilsner malt and added a touch of Vienna and Munich Malt for subtle complexity. Then we liberally hopped it with Czech Saaz hops for a balanced bitterness and pleasant herbal hop aroma with a touch of lemon. Finally, it was fermented with a classic Czech strain and lagered for a crisp and refreshing finish

Pours clear straw yellow with a thick ivory head. Aroma presents resiny hops, fresh malt, and notes of citrus. Flavor adds fresh malt, piney hops, tangy orange & grapefruit. Texture features nice body and peppy fizz. Patek away a glass.
