Not a standout within style, but its a pretty nice beer overall. Slight dark fruit, a good dose of maltiness, a slightly sticky medium-full body and very very slight peat.

Tasted on tap at the 2005 Pizza Port Strong Ale festival. Medium brown color. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is malty and sweet, estery with a touch of brown sugar. A medium bodied Scotch Ale. Malts are fruity and sweet. Little bit of peat and smoke, but mostly sweet malts. Very smooth taste. Nice beer. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

I had this on draft at Pizza Port San Clemente. It pours a clear, reddish brown with a minimal head. The aroma is minimal. The flavor is sweet but not cloying. I really enjoyed this.
