Pozharnik is an intensely flavored Russian Imperial Stout infused with espresso that compliments its rich chocolate & roasted malt character. Pozharnik is guaranteed to warm a winter chill with its 8.1% ABV and dark fruit (raisin & plum) undertones. Notes of whiskey aromatics are brought on by the aging process in a “single barrel” whiskey cask. Pozharnik is an intensely flavored Russian Imperial Stout infused with espresso and (vanilla beans which are new for 2007) and an improved mouthfeel that compliments its rich chocolate & roasted malt character. Pozharnik is guaranteed to warm a winter chill with it’s increased ABV now at 10%. Undertones of dark fruit (raisin & plum) and licorice with low bittering hops make this vintage beer worthy of cellaring for many years to come. Finishing notes of whiskey aromatics are once again brought on by the aging process in a “single barrel” whiskey cask. Won a Silver Medal at the 2007 IBF.

Pours with a dark brown body topped by a medium thick head and some lacing. It’s sweet and malty with notes of sugar and not much else, maybe a little vanilla. Full bodied and smooth.
