Named after the theatre located in London which featured the Bard’s plays, Blackfriars Ale is our take on what a brewer might have done in London in the 17th Century. It has several layers of variously toasted malts, British hops to balance, and 7.5% ABV. Description: A 17th Century style ale aged in barrels with Brettanomyces for interesting sour, fruity notes. Tech stuff: 7.5% ABV, 71 OG, 45 IBU, 20 SRM Grist: Pale Malt, Amber Malt, Crystal Malt, Chocolate Malt, Black Malt Hops: Challenger, Columbus, Target
