Arch-Angel is a Belgian style tripel. The ales are very strong beers which still have a light finish unlike other strong ales with deep malt profiles. The hop bitterness is also rather light, as the beer uses spices and herbs to balance the finish. The uses of Grains of Paradise (a pepper) and sweet gale for finishing.

Bottle courtesy of CBA: Poured a medium brownish color ale with a small dirty white bubbly head with limited retention and no lacing. Aroma of sugar and light spices leavers me a bit on my appetite. Taste is quite sweet for the style with some brown sugar feeling with some light spices in the background. Body is slightly watery with almost no carbonation. I would never have figure out I was drinking an Abbey Tripel had it not been for the description on the bottle. Defintely lacking in complexity and probably one of the worst beer from this brewery which usually provide great beers.
