A pfoxyjohn Wisconsin beer. Pours a deep mahogany black color with a small tight head and nice lazy lacing. Very earth aromas of sweet malts, peat and smoked wood. Taste is much like the aroma with the sweet and earthy malts upfront and a slight smokiness linger. Nice. Thanks John.

Had this on tap at the Old Fashioned here in Madison: Poured a dark and thick black colour with a medium sized tan head. Aroma was immediately smokey on the nose with some highlights of caramel, peat and dark chocolate. Taste was what threw me off a bit at first. Something kind of sour about it that i wasn’t expecting. Otherwise rich in dark roasted malts. a little bit of coffee grounds on the finish.
