Leon is a beer brewed to the tune of a perfect night club – a place where craft beer seamlessly occupies a space alongside the best wines and spirits. Leon is whole-cone hopped and fermented dry using champagne yeast. The yeast and the hops (Amarillo & Simcoe) in combination with a variety of dark and light malts provides the beer with a quality of being rich in taste yet refreshing. Drink it cold out of a wineglass or just straight out of the bottle. Artwork by Karl Grandin karlgrandin.com Brewed At: De Proef Brouwerij (Lochristi, Belgium)

Had this puppy on tap at the Delirium Hoppy Loft alongside my friend sebletitje. This Leon poured with a gold to pale gold body supporting a creamy near white head of foam. The aroma offers up cantaloupe flavored cotton candy, mango and thin slices of sour lime. The taste is both rich and crisp as well as being invitingly sessionable with a mix of mango and refreshing sour lime like citrus hoppiness followed by smooth sweet cantaloupe. These notes go so well together and are really hitting the spot right now. Since Seb and I had been sharing with the staff they offered us one on the house as our last one. I happily selected this one and it tasted as crisp and clean and rich as the first one. Thanks guys!!

33cl bottle at Gaasa. Slightly hazy golden with a nice white head. Hoppy and yeasty aroma with Belgian yeast and malt. Fresh, fruity and hoppy. Well balanced. Lightly bitter and hoppy aftertaste. Nice and hoppy Belgian pale ale. (2012-08-08)

Aroma is VERY strong, sharp, fruity and yeasty. Pours a nice clear solar yellow with a fairly thick white head that leaves some good lacing. Sharp, yeasty, fruity flavor leaves an edgy, hoppy, rather bitter finish. Texture has good fizz, if not a lot of body. OK, not a great Belgian, but palatable. Gotta love the bottle.

Bottled@Bishops Arms Vasagatan, Stockholm. Hazy yellowish golden colour, big white head. Aroma is spritzy mildly spicy yeast along with some malkts, fruits and herbs. Flavour is grassy, fruity, yeasty, herbal and spicy. Very pleasant and smooth palate.
