Pours opaque coffee-sable with a thick and lasting tan head. Aroma presents roast malt, coffee, semi-sweet chocolate, molasses and berry notes. Flavor delivers all that the aroma promises, adding more dark fruit/berry character and a bit of licorice. Hoppy bitterness rears its head in the smoky finish. Mouthfeel features firm body and good fizz. Shadow the brewer!
