Strong, delicious, and surprisingly smooth, this Belgian style Tripel IPA features a complex blend of fruit, citrus, and spice. As much a style born from American ingenuity and exploration as it is from storied Belgian tradition, this wonderfully delicious, mystical beer is the answer for enthusiasts who want hoppy IPA character combined with the complex, fruity, spicy character of Strong Pale Ales.

Bomber from Big Ridge. Poured a 5-fingered head of creamy ivory to cap a clear orange body. Lots of sediment in the lower end of the bottle. Mild aroma, spices and yeast for the most part. Mouthfeel above average. Flavour was rather more like a Tripel than a DIPA, mostly spice and yeast, lesser amounts of citrus or pine. Finish more sour than bitter. Overall I liked it, an interesting hybrid but I do prefer Old Abbey's 100% Brett over this one.
